SongBudz LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website https://songbudz.com (the “Service”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We respect your privacy and process data in accordance with global privacy principles, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that you voluntarily provide to us to make the web app function.

Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password.
Third-Party Sign-In Data: If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, or Spotify, we receive basic profile information from that provider (see Section 2 below).
User-Generated Content: We collect the concert logs, music tastes, artist preferences, reviews, and profile details that you choose to submit to the platform.
Technical Data: We automatically log your IP address, browser type, and operating system to help maintain site security and analyze general traffic trends.

2. Third-Party Sign-In (Google, Apple & Spotify)

SongBudz lets you create an account or sign in using a third-party identity provider. When you do, that provider shares a limited set of profile information with us so we can create or identify your account. We never receive your password for those accounts.

Google Sign-In. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address (and whether it is verified), your name, and your profile picture. We use this data solely to create or link your SongBudz account and to pre-fill your display name and avatar. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Apple Sign-In.If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (only the first time you sign in, if you choose to share it) and an email address. Apple lets you use its “Hide My Email” feature, in which case we receive a private, Apple-generated relay email address instead of your personal one; email we send to that address is forwarded to you by Apple. We use this data solely to create or link your SongBudz account and to pre-fill your display name. We do not receive any other data from your Apple account. Our use of Sign in with Apple adheres to Apple's privacy policy.

Spotify Sign-In. If you connect your Spotify account, we receive your email address, display name, and profile image. With your authorization we also store Spotify access tokens so that, at your request, we can import your top and followed artists to personalize your experience. We only read this data; we do not modify your Spotify account or post on your behalf.

You can disconnect a provider or revoke SongBudz's access at any time from that provider's account settings (for example, Google's “Third-party apps & services” page, Apple's “Sign in with Apple” settings under your Apple ID, or Spotify's “Apps” page), and you may delete your SongBudz account as described in Section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to provide and improve the Service:

To create and maintain your user account.
To display your concert logs and music tastes to other users on the platform.
To allow you to connect and interact with other users.
To fix technical issues and defend against spam or malicious activity.

We never sell your personal data.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We may share data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., database hosting, website hosting) necessary to keep the website running online.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Your Data Rights (GDPR & Global Standards)

Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights regarding your data:

Right to Access/Portability: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can update or correct your profile information at any time through your account settings.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request that we delete your account and all associated data at any time.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
